Mission
The mission of California Human Development (CHD) is to create
paths and opportunities for those seeking greater self-sufficiency,
independence and dignity through education, training, housing
, and other services.
About
California Human Development began in 1967 in Sonoma County and
has since grown to help low-income people in 15 different counties
in throughout Northern California. Working with a network of training
centers and private employers, CHD coordinates various programs
to increase the job skills of seasonal farmworkers so that they
may obtain stable, non-seasonal employment and continue to play
a vital role in California’s agricultural economy.
