January 28, 2008 Update:
Senate Committee Votes NO on Healthcare Reform
Comparison of Proposed California Healthcare
Plans
On January 8, 2007, California Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger presented the framework for reforming our state’s
healthcare system by requiring all Californians to possess health
coverage. While this proposed program will be thoroughly debated
by all interested parties in the coming months, as well as other
proposed healthcare reforms have been circulated by Senate President
Pro Tempore Don Perata, Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez
and the Senate Republican Caucus, the California Partnership for
Access to Treatment will continue to provide information to our
partners on all efforts to increase access to California’s
healthcare system and improve the health and productivity of all
Californians.
