Healthcare Ready Activating Rx Open in Response to CA Power Blackouts

Please share this information about Rx Open, an emergency response and relief nonprofit that is extending help and services to Californians in response to the ongoing power blackouts. The Rx Open map will continue to be updated.

Due to weather conditions that may create the potential for elevated fire risk, portions of 22 counties in Northern California are faced with power outages and it may take several days to fully restore power to all customers.

In response to this situation, Rx Open has been activated for California. Rx Open is a free and publicly-accessible map that shows the location of open, closed and unknown pharmacies and may be used by citizens to locate open pharmacies, as well as by first responders and government officials to assess damages and gather critical information on the impact to public health.

Rx Open is brought to you by Healthcare Ready, an emergency response and relief nonprofit established by various healthcare professionals and organizations, including PhRMA as a founding partner, after Hurricane Katrina. Healthcare Ready continues to work with healthcare providers as well as federal, state, and local governments to address critical needs of Americans during emergency situations.

If you become aware of situation(s) that may adversely affect healthcare supply or care in the affected area, or if you would like to request the assistance of Healthcare Ready, please contact the members of the Healthcare Ready Support Team at [email protected] or call (866) 247-2694 at any time.
